Postpartum Root Care Workshop
Sunday January 15th. Noon- 4 PM
After birth, the attention often turns immediately to the baby and the mother’s needs take a back seat. Care of women’s vaginas and pelvic floors are minimized and shrouded in shame throughout our lives, and continue to be after childbirth.
Often, when women experience challenges involving the care of this sacred part of our body, they have no one to turn to, and no idea what is normal or not. Some of the most common and harmful postpartum thought patterns derive from the health of our “root” center.

* Fears of returning to sex, exercise, or the other self-care habits that used to make them feel well. After taking this workshop, you will feel more confident in helping yourself and the women you serve.
This 4-hour workshop will cover:
* The best healing practices for vaginal tears
* Changes to the vaginal/vulvar tissues and pelvic bowl after birth, including: what’s normal and when to be concerned
* Prolapses and how to identify and support them
* When to seek help from professionals and how to choose a provider
You will have the ability to confidently and proactively utilize specific techniques, including:
* Sitz bath and vaginal steaming
